We believe the perfect spray tan is all in the details. That’s why every appointment includes complimentary disposables such as hair nets, hair ties, disposable thongs, nose filters, nipple pasties, and wipes, so you feel fully prepared and comfortable.
Sticky spray tan? Never heard of her. Every glow is finished with our complimentary signature drying powder for a smooth, comfortable finish you’ll love. And the best part? You won’t have to lift a finger. From flawless blending to clean-up, we take care of it all so you can leave feeling confident, polished, and effortlessly radiant.
Pre-Tan Skin Prep
Before your custom airbrush tan, we apply a protective barrier cream to areas prone to dryness—such as nails, toenails, elbows, and knees. This ensures that these areas don’t absorb excess tanning solution, resulting in an even, natural-looking tan.
Custom Airbrush Tan

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT (The Days Leading Up)
Hydrate
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment.
Hydrated skin = smoother, longer-lasting tan.
All Self-Care Appointments = BEFORE Tan Day
Any appointments that involve products, oils, or skin contact should be completed before the day of your tan, including:
- Nails (manicure/pedicure)
- Hair appointments (cut/color/style)
- Facials / massages
- Any treatments involving oils, lotions, or exfoliation
HAIR REMOVAL TIMELINE (Very Important!)
To avoid irritation and patchiness:
- Waxing or threading: complete 24–48 hours before your spray tan
- Shaving: complete 24 hours before your spray tan
(Anything too close to your appointment can leave pores open and affect the finish.)
THE DAY BEFORE YOUR TAN
Exfoliate
Exfoliate your skin the day before your appointment.
Moisturize
After exfoliating, apply moisturizer to keep skin smooth and hydrated.
THE DAY OF YOUR TAN
To ensure the solution sticks evenly:
Please arrive with clean, dry skin and no:
- Makeup
- Moisturizer
- Deodorant

WHAT TO WEAR DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT
You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in, but for the best results:
If you want minimal tan lines:
- Bandeau-style bra or strapless option
- Nipple pasties
Hair:
- Hair should be pulled up and off your neck/shoulders (bun or clip works best)
WHAT TO WEAR AFTER YOUR TAN (Post Appointment)
This is KEY for an even tan while it develops.
Wear:
- Loose, dark clothing
- Think: oversized sweats, baggy t-shirt, loose hoodie
Shoes:
- Slides are best
- No socks (socks can rub and cause marks)

The less friction on your skin after your appointment, the smoother your tan will develop.
Spray Tan Aftercare Instructions
Thank you for choosing Just Glow Studios! To get the best, longest-lasting glow from your spray tan, please follow these aftercare steps carefully.
🚿 The First Rinse
- Rinse at your dedicated time using lukewarm water only.
- Do not use soap, shampoo, or any other products during this rinse.
- Allow the water to run over your entire body, making sure to remove all bronzer—especially under your arms, inner thighs, and the back of your neck.
- Once the water runs clear, you’re good to step out.
- Pat dry only — do not rub.
⏳ The First 24 Hours
- Your tan will fully develop over the next 24 hours.
- During this time:
- Avoid applying moisturizers, soaps, shampoos, or skincare products.
- Avoid sweating and tight or restrictive clothing.
- After the 24-hour mark, you can resume normal activities.
Hydration & Longevity
- Once your tan is fully developed:
- Moisturize twice a day.
- Drink plenty of water to help your skin stay hydrated.
- This helps extend the life of your tan and keeps it looking fresh.
What to Avoid
- Aerosol sunscreens and Dove skincare products, which can strip your tan.
- Hot tubs and chlorinated pools, which may cause premature fading.
- Razors with moisture bars — opt for a cheap disposable razor for gentle shaving.
Touch-Ups & Tan Removal
- The face usually fades first. You can refresh your glow with a facial tanning mist.
- We recommend See You Sundae (available in-studio).
- When it’s time to remove your tan:
- Soak in a warm bath with Epsom salts and use exfoliating gloves.
- For best results, try our Glow Bombs — specially formulated to gently remove tan while nourishing your skin (sold in studio).
STAY HYDRATED & MOISURIZED
The more hydrated your skin is, the better your tan will look. Lotion 2x a day with a spray tan friendly lotion (no mineral oil). We recommend body butter with cocoa butter or shea butter as a main ingredient!
FUTURE SHOWERS
Avoid using any loofahs or washcloths during your showers. A clear, gel based body wash is best, or a hydrating bar soap (NOT DOVE!) We carry spray tan friendly soap that is designed to extend the life of your spray tan.
ACTIVITY CHECK
Avoid pools & hot tubs for long periods of time, long hot showers/baths, saunas, and excessive sweating. Your tan will not last very long if you plan on doing these things. Skip intense workouts for 24 hours. After that, wear loose clothing and use a towel to sweat away.

Your spray tan is the last thing you want to do in your beauty regime and glam prep! We recommend booking your mani/pedi, wax and massage appointments 24-48 hours before your spray tan.
WHAT DO I WEAR DURING?
What you wear during the spray tan is completely up to you and your comfort level! Most of our clients opt to wear a bathing suit bottom or thong. You may choose to go topless. We provide hair nets, hair ties, disposable thongs, nipple pasties, wipes and nose filters. Male clients are required to bring and wear their own boxers, briefs or shorts.
HOW DO I EXFOLIATE?
Exfoliating is an important step in preparation for your tan to ensure the tan develops and fades evenly. 24 hours before your spray tan, use a body scrub and exfoliating mitt in the shower. Please avoid oily scrubs like Tree Hut, Dove, Bath and Body works that will leave a residue on your skin.
HOW DOES SPRAY TAN SOLUTION WORK?
What you see on your skin immediately after your spray tan is just cosmetic bronzer. The DHA (dihydroxyacetone) in the solution, which is basically a glucose derivative, is what turns your skin brown and mimics a real tan from the sun. DHA reacts with amino acids on just the top layer of your skin. When this reaction occurs, the skin cells turn several shades darker. This is a completely safe process! During your skin's natural exfoliation cycle, the dead skin cells will shed off, which results in a fading spray tan.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment will result in a $30 fee being charged.
Cancellations made within 8 hours of your service will result in a full service being charged.
If you are cancelling within 24 hours, please call or text to cancel.
If you fail to show up for your scheduled appointment without prior notice, it will be considered a no-show. In the case of a no-show, you will be charged the full service fee.
